Can't break my broody hen

my hen has gone broody at least 10 times and usually I put her in a dog cage for 3-4 days and she's all good but the last time it took 2 weeks to break and now this time I'm on week 3 and no signs of breaking so what else can I do? I've tried putting her in cold water, tried putting a ice pack and then ice water bottle under her but nothing's working so any other ideas I would certainly appreciate it!!!

Having the same problem myself. Right now, at week three, you might as well wait it out. She should come off the nest in a week and start picking around.

A bunch of mine caught the broody fever twice this year.

Is it a wire bottomed cage, raised off the ground?
Hot where you are, might need to wet her underside and put her in cage with fan blowing underneath.

It is a wire bottom cage and I have it on saw horses and yes it is real hot and humid here in South Georgia!!! I haven't tried the fan but I will give it a shot!! Thank you for the advice!!!

Is she laying on something----a feed bowl, roost pole, is there anything on the floor or just on the bare wire?

Patience--someone would find her a GREAT BROODY to hatch their chicks! Some breeds are kind of natural broodies--she must be one!

I had a Cochin that wold not give up even after a month. I found that when I put her in the cage with the fan on her 24/7. She was cured after 3 days. (Until the next time) lol

I have friends who dip there chickens in cold water. About all the way just to the neck then dry the hen off.
I've never tried it but it works for them!

I had to bring Einstein inside and put her in an elevated rabbit cage for three days. I know they say to leave them in the pen or coop in an elevated cage, but that was not possible in my situation. Inside for 3 days, and I would let her out in the evenings for 2 hours with her flock mates. It's been so hot here, so getting her acclimated to the outside temps was done very carefully.
