Ummm - personal favor? Unless it's bad news, please don't start a 'Lucky Update' post with 'Holy crap' - I thought something really bad had happened to Lucky and it scared the youknowwhat out of me!!!
But seriously, that's great news, except for the basket on the floor part. I'm so glad he's doing so well and can't wait to see pix. You're an awesome rooster mom, and I love the Rocky Updates!
Sorry about that
it was a rather stressful "session" with Lucky...I got the "leg warmers" off without too much trouble but there isn't any remarkable change in the skin on his legs
More time I suppose, but I'm not going to stress over the texture of his legs, I need to quit messing with him til that break heals.
With all of his newfound energy though, he managed to wiggle and jump his way out of the slings I had holding his splint to his body, and then I spent an hour trying to redo it and I just couldn't get it right
So I had to leave it unslung (if unslung isn't a word, it is now...lol) His thigh muscle is still strong enough for him to hold the leg up, so it's not like it's dragging, and he uses his right wing as a crutch...perhaps this will keep him from trying to leap out of the basket and off of the table for awhile.
I took a good close look at his beak and where it was broken on the bottom actually looks as though it's healing nicely!
And just a short little clip of Lucky J La Roo...with my son in the background, he's pretty fond of Lucky too
Thanks again friends!
