**Casey Anthony Verdict In ..**

Wow! You right on, weren't you

To be perfectly honest, I was trying to soften it.

I didn't want to come out and say what I REALLY thought because I didn't feel like getting attacked for not agreeing with the majority who were SO SURE she was going to the gallows - courtesy all the wonderful coverage from Nancy Grace and her ilk - all of them sold the public down the road. All of them. They were EXTREMELY dishonest - if not dishonest, so ignorant it can hardly be believed they could dress themselves and drive a car.

But I NEVER thought they would convict of murder 1 or manslaughter. NEVER.

Not at ANY point since this case came to light.

Remember, George Anthony wasn't just a cop.

HE is an ex HOMICIDE DETECTIVE.

I sure didn't know he was an ex homicide detective. Honestly, I thought they would lock her up and throw away the key

I didn't.

And I don't think it is the 'jury's fault' or the 'prosecution's fault'. The jury was CRYING when they finished. They HATED what they had to do.

That's why they're all hiding from the public - because the public is so mad at them and blaming them.

There is no one to blame except the person who killed the child.

As for the defense team doing such a 'great job', they didn't do bupkiss. They don't have to.

That doesn't mean I have to like it....

I agree with you but scott Peterson got convicted with less. I was surprised. I personally think she did it but when I heard the trial was almost over I knew shed get off. In this dy and age circumstantial evidence can go either way

I would say Peterson got convicted with an awful lot more, and far, far better evidence. Time, date, place, all of it. The building blocks were all there.

First of all, juries don't have all the freedom you guys imagine they do. They get very specific instructions from the judge and they are not free to just do whatever they want.

Not true. If you follow Forensic Files, 48 Hours Hard Evidence, Solved Skeleton Stories and other programs of that ilk you will occasionally find cases profiled that went to trial and convictions made without any of that. When all there is to work with are skeletal remains, it is not always possible to determine with certainty the exact time, place, and cause of death. Of course in Caylee's case with the duct tape over her mouth and nose one might conclude that she would have had a little trouble breathing.....

Now I will definitely shut up.

You'd think, huh?

The jury made a BAD BAD call... i dont blame them for hiding, they know it.

Or the other side - I grew up in a house that was as insane as Casey is. I said many times over I'd rather be dead than live like that, with abusive, sociopathic, uncaring adults in charge. Caylee was saved all that, maybe it's not that bad for her.

Bolding is mine - that you follow those TV SHOWS is the whole problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But this is the whole problem. TV shows do NOT give a realistic picture of our judicial system - they are ENTERTAINMENT.

YES, I WATCH ALL OF THEM - and they ALL - give an extremely distorted picture of our judicial system.

Those jurors aren't hiding because they gave a 'bad call and they know it' - they're hiding because they KNOW that the public's concept of the judicial system comes from cra* like 'Forensic Files' and 'Solved', THAT'S WHY.
