Cashier or Self Check-out. Which do you prefer?

Never mind the self-check out (which I love), but the handheld scanner that some of the Stop & Shops have in RI are wonderful. As I shop I just scan the item and bag it. I can also weigh out produce, get a weight sticker, scan it, and bag it. Makes shopping hasslefree for me.

Personally, since I have to swipe my own card and do everything myself through EITHER lane... I just chose whichever one has the shortest line and be done with it. I find I screw up less, and I don't forget my coupons, or discounts.

They'll also do that at Sam's Club when the lines are long. They scan everything while you're waiting and when you get the cashier, she just scans your card, looks over your cart, briefly, and that's it.
