Just shoot him! Please dont relocate him to some one elses coop! Same thing with snakes! Would you like to come home from vacation and find that everyone and there dog dumped all their chicken-eatin snakes, coons, etc. at your coop? Quit relocatin yall's pests to other folk's farms, cuz I can assure you, if yall dont want them, we dont either! That goes for dogs and cats to. Dont just drop them off at random barns thinkin that we wont care, cuz that couldnt be farther from the truth. We HATE that!!!

Hey Injun,,,pest can be killed off so there is no seed to breed,,,, the world is a proving ground.


When they charge pest taxes they are doing a job, untill they pay my bill they are a pain in my A**.

To each his own I guess. I kill whatever I catch. I do so legally.

If you relocate what you catch that is fine to. Maybe the next person that catches it will kill it or the the dominate predator in the area you relocated it to will mame it up and leave it to die.

Why come into a pest and predator forum and complain when others give advice on how they handle their pests and predator problems. If you prefer not to hear about it stop reading in this section.

I posted earlier that she/he should kill it. Then someone suggested we are all God's creatures and she/he should not kill it.

I said to each his/her own. She/he prefers not to kill it, that is fine. Just don't look down on those who do.

Good Luck OP with what you decide to do. If theres one, theres more. So I would look over your run, and make sure that there is no way that anything can get in.

My point is to protect you chickens and to not have to "catch the coon" to begin with!

If you can't afford some hardware cloth then you should not bother having chickens to start with.

So if anything gets in our way we should just kill it!

I would never have posted on this thread in the first place, but when I read someone telling others to gas the coon with the tailpipe of there truck, well now....
