Oh dang. That's really stupid!

I live in California. Apparently the animal leftists have managed it so that we can't even have rat traps. We're supposed to live trap everything or use a licensed trapper. Apparently there are also expensive permits. Lots of live trapped animals in the Bay Area die of mysterious head injuries, since the law states that we can only release whatever we trap in the same place we trapped it.

I have neighbors down the streets who are apparently exchanging Norway rats.

BTW - the schools can no longer use insecticides; appare rightntly cockroaches wandering over the premises is considered "healthier" than using a pesticide.

Ummm.... not all animal rights activists are lefties. I'm a republican and an animal rights activist! Live traps are better, though I do have to agree with you on the roach problem.

As a Republican ,which I am, I have the right to kill a nuisance animal such a coon which kills and eats my koi fish. A coyote which kills and eats one of my guineas, etc. I understand we have to thin out the deer population so the rest of them will stay healthy. I believe in animal rights, but they should not trump my right to protect my property!

I live in Northern California(The real northern close to Oregon) and we are being out numbered on gun regulations now. I have coons all around my property and the city is saying we can't even shoot them with a .22 next year, and I live in the country not even in a city.

I have heard of no law that says you cannot dispatch a nuisance non-game pest. We have friends that do it often. We hunt pests, but need to start trapping as well as we just lost more birds.

As a hunter/trapper we pay for what we hunt. I follow the laws and buy tags and other fees annually. It funds the fish and wildlife service.I have the right to eat something that is not raised in a pen. Let the animal be free and have a fair chance at surviving against a hunter. People who haven't hunted don't understand what we actually go through to find animals, It's not a 1 hour process it takes weeks.

We also have to hunt deer, geese, ducks, fish etc. I have no problem with this. I can't stand poaching!!!!!! I do have a problem rats, coons, bob cats, foxs, coyotes, any predator was threatens my birds or eggs!!!!!

Yup! I love to fish. Same here. But I get the animal before it get's to my chickens and ducks. I have 4 traps out tonight...
