Cayuga Egg Laying Questions

Hey everyone,

My two Cayuga girls just started laying eggs last week đź’—
I now have several questions that I can't find answers to online:

I have found 1-2 eggs every morning. It has been concerning me that one duck might not be laying as much when I only find one. Is this normal?
How often do they lay? And for how long? I read they only lay 100-150 eggs per year. So do they lay year round, skipping days here and there?
Their eggs are light grey/beige and not black like I read their first eggs should be. Is this an indicator of a health issue?
Any advise on normal Cayuga egg laying would be much appreciated! I'm new to owning ducks.

Thank you!

Have a few Cayugas here. Ours were barely ever a shade darker than that, never black. They lighten as the season progresses too. 1-2 a day is really good for them! I haven't found one from mine all winter, slackers.. the khakis are just starting to pick back up now, so hopefully the cayugas follow suit.
