Central Florida "Chick or Treat" Poultry Swap & Sale Oct 29, 2011

For this upcoming swap, I am thinking of doing a short learning session if anybody is interested? I will be showing how to clip wings, clip toe nails, trim beaks, how to remove spur sheaths, how to fix spraddle leg in newborn chicks, how to fix curled toes on newborn chicks and also how to break an awnry rooster.
All are welcome to come and listen in.

Midget Whites for the most part. If you want one I also need to reduce my Standard Bronze toms by one or two.

Thanks. I will let you know.... still not 100% sure that I am going to be able to make it right now. How old are the whites?

A.T. Hagan :

Hatched in April and May of this year. Could be ready for the table by the holidays and will be ready to breed next spring.

That's what I was hoping you would say....My broilers will be ready for Christmas and I wanted to do some turkeys at the same time. How much are you asking for them? (sorry for all the questions....)

I just checked my journal and those birds were hatched in mid-April. They'll be about seven months old by Thanksgiving, eight months by Christmas. They've been on high protein feed and pasture the whole time. I'm asking $30 each.
