Changed behaviour

My chicken appeared about 5 years ago, unannounced! She’s lived in my big garden since, never moved out. The last 2 weeks she keeps coming in to the house and has become super needy! She runs to greet anyone that visits, sits by my feet on the porch and last night didn’t go to her roosting tree, she slept on the porch. Why the sudden change of behaviour??? Any ideas?
