Ah, another example where my whole post was disregarded for the sake of one sentence.

You should work in the media, they make a living ruining people's lives by taking things out of context and manipulating people's words.

Lets see.
I have yet to cut a seatbelt and remove a roll cage so get your facts straight rebel.

We own 2 tractors that do not have seatbelts or roll cages I guess it has to do with the fact they were build back in the '60's.
The tractors DS drives has both a roll cage and seatbelts, so who drives the ones without? DH and myself.

As for this law it is stupid and the people supporting should spend some real time on a farm and if they think a farmer should get a safer tractor then they need to fork out the bucks to get it.

I have my facts strait. You on the other hands I dont know what to think.

You implied that I specifically called you out. I did not an I dont know you.

Then implying that all farmers do what you do an also agree with you on this issue an everyone on the other side is a non farmer. Good luck with that.

It looks, to me, like those roll bars are meant to be removable. It's not like they used a cutting torch. they are probably used more for a sun canopy than a roll bar, anyway.

Yeah, the babies in the bucket is kind of silly, but if you are familiar with the equipment, you aren't going to hit the dump lever, if you don't intend to.

Just a thought. How come we are the only species who chooses to protect and propigate stupid? The rest of the animal kingdom lets it die off.

No they are not canopy holders. They are there for roll over protection on something that has the ability to roll its self over backwards under its own power on flat ground.

Yes they are removable or fold down for work under apple trees or in side chicken houses among other things. Unfortunately the mindset that its a slow tractor an does not need these things is normal.

I will not get in to the bucket thing other than say there has never been any good out of trying to make a toy of heavy equipment.

I agree about not protecting stupid from there selves. The question is do we protect children from stupid parents?

Again not a fan of laws in general, just know where it is coming from.

When I was young and wanted money to go to the movies my dad would drop us off to pick beans until we got enough cash. We never did strawberrys cause we ate too many. I got the $10.00 to buy my first pellet gun by splitting apricots for drying.

Empowered not Entitled!!

The governments job is not to drive a wedge between parents and their children. They could mandate a safety course that would prevent you from suing the manufacturer if you get hurt and did not take the course some what like a boaters license or similar to what they do with ATVs'.

You cannot outlaw stupidity.
