My DH decided to use the outside faucet. This was so scary all ducklings flowed out of the brooder and pooped all over my deck. thinking about working on the blue pekin breed.

If we go to Cameron, we could pick up Pekin hens for you to breed back but I bet they would turn out white.

Tomorrow. Merde is mostly white with blue down his back. Barbra Lewis and Carl are mostly blue. It would be fun to have blue pekins.

It looks like everything is sold out for the year except Pekins. Maybe we should collect eggs after they settle down after the move and incubate some Pekin runners and see what happens.

I think I could breed Barbra Lewis and Carl back to Pekins since they are mostly blue. Merde is mostly white with a blue stripe and a pekin body. Just think Quackers could found a new breed

Ok this will be a long post. First pictures. Barbra Lewis gets in and out of the brooder at will. This morning all four were knocking on the back door to come in.

Just got back from burying Sparkles. Put everybody together and watched about 30 minutes and all was well. Went back to the air conditioning and checked an hour later. Beverly was standing over Sparkles body and fighting off Natasha. Natasha has murdered Sparkles. Broke her neck. I don't need external predators any more. Beverly is sick at heart. I had to physically remove him from her body. I had just figured out she was a goose and hoping the two would pair. So the trial has been held, the sentence passed and it is now just a discussion on the method of dispatch. I think I will stick to ducks for the future.
