We got something one time called a butterfly fish it was so cool! I used to do all the ordering for the tanks so I always ordered the cool stuff plant would be Ammannia Gracillis its so pretty! 40 gallon breeders give optimal floor space and height

Oh I love them. One of my dream scapes is a bunch of Congo Tetras with a butterfly fish on top, not sure what I'm going to do for plants. But I prefer nano aquariums so that will probably never happen

Hermit crabs can stay down molting anywhere from 4-8 weeks

I cannot wait to see her again. I miss my little girl.


On another note: This past week or 2 has been so cold downstairs that the crabs had actually stopped moving and tried to burrow to be warm. We tried everything to try to keep them warm, but nothing was working. So yesterday, on a whim, I uprooted them and put the tank in the hottest room in the house: My room. And last night they actually came out and were doing their crabby things! And my other little girl is "dancing" right now in their hidey hole. The big guy is just being a chicken and hiding from me. I think he thinks that I want to steal his pretty new shell.

It is not useless information, though. You just made me feel a lot better about my little girl being all buried.

I would say that I want to own fish again, but I already have enough animals to care for, and even one more will tip me over the edge.

I have a spare 50 gallon you can borrow.

One day, I want to keep a red-eyed crocodile skink. They require more care, so that will be something for a much later date.

I love those! Funny enough, I don't WANT a bigger aquarium. OK maybe a 10 gal at some point. But I really enjoy the nanos, even if your options are extremely limited
