I have no problem with the stinging bugs. This past summer I was holding a bumblebee in my hand and cooing at his fluff butt, and then I put him in my sister's hand. I told her that it didn't sting me so it will not sting her. Seconds later she yelped and "threw" the bee because it stung her.
I told her she should have been nicer to it. 
Hermit crabs can stay down molting anywhere from 4-8 weeksSo it is ok that she has not come up to eat and drink at all?The tank does not have the same smell that it got when her sister died, so I have refrained from digging her up because I am under the assumption that she is alive until I smell that smell. She went and burrowed right under their bath, and I accidentally found her while trying to dig a bigger hole for the "tub", so I do know where she is.
