CHICK-A-DEES Hatching Thread!!! 🐣

I'm sorry to hear about the cemani egg :( Open it up when you get a chance, to see what happened. Maybe it was malpositioned.

By the way, I'd never heard of laughing chickens until you said you got some. I looked them up - they sound hilarious and adorable! Come back and post some funny crowing videos of yours when you get to that stage

I will do that! I will try to take pictures. I’m not good at telling if it’s in the perfect position so I may need some opinions.

I’m glad you now know that magic of laughing chickens šŸ˜‚ I will make sure to get some videos!

He's gorgeous! How about Aladdin? Popped into my head because the blue on him reminded me of Genie, and he's all "dressed up" and fancy like how Genie dressed Aladdin up to make him look royal

Poor baby... It’s in the correct position, so I don’t know what happened. No internal pip either? I had a couple like that, but blamed it on shipping stress. But yours weren’t shipped, so I don’t know ā˜¹ļø

Oh that's right, you did say it peeped :( From internal pip to hatch is the most nerve-racking time, for me at least, because most of mine fail at that stage when they do fail, and I can't quite figure out why, because they incubate under the same conditions and yet some make it but others don't. And helping before the external pip (before the zip, really) is always so risky because they can bleed out. Maybe it just had a genetic issue or something. Rare breeds are genetically fragile, because they have small gene pools :( Try again if you want cemanis, and get more eggs to up your chances.
