Chick acts like its dry heaving

Did you ever figure it out? I have the same thing going on with a chicken that is about 9 months old. She seems fine otherwise.....pine shavings just in the coop/nesting box. I have two others though and I have not seen them do it.

Hokankai was right: they were just emptying their crops, moving food along their digestive system. It's a totally normal behavior.

Since I posted this, we bought a farm and increased my flock to over a hundred chickens. They all do that motion; nothing to worry about, as long as they're acting normally otherwise. Hth.
