Chick cant stand

This chick hatch 2 nights ago. Came out with bent feet so made shoes for it. Since yesterday, the chick wasn't able to push itself up and would just lay around and sleep and would flip over on its back and cant flip over itself. And today I noticed it's leg is swollen as I'm thinking it's trying to use it stand and move instead of it's foot. Any idea what's wrong?

Have you tried putting the chick in a small wineglass or padded cup to get it used to standing and strengthening the legs? Also B complex vitamins that have riboflavin is good for leg health in chicks. Unfortunately some chicks just cannot stand due to various reasons, and may need to be culled. I would try feeding wet chick feed and egg to keep its strength up.

Any idea what's wrong?

Flipping over is a condition caused by what's commonly called wry neck or star gazing and is very much a symptom of vitamin deficiency.. This link indicates thiamine (covered under B complex suggested by previous poster) and E.
