Chick eye deformity or injury?

The chick survived the night and today. It ate chick feed with save a chick water mixed in I fed it with a syringe. And it had a bowel movement. The little thong has energy. One of my bantam sultans is developing cross beak, this one came from a different tractor supply than the deformed chick. And I agree the hatchery needs to be exposed.
I know most would say to kill the chick but as long as its trying to live I will do what I can for it

Well I'm glad the first chick is doing well. Now that your bantam is developing problems, that is bad breeding, nail the hatchery, it's disgusting what they are doing! Best wishes to you and all your chicks this year, I hope no others are defective. :/

So far everyone is doing well. My sultan hasn't changed any and is still eating on its own without trouble. Beauty, the chick that was given to me has survived its 3rd day at home I have been syringe feeding it cheek feed mixed with water with added vitamins sometimes an egg yolk. The chick responds well to syringe feeding, it has the sweetest personality always wanting to be held. I make sure and feed it a good meal before bed, but last night it wouldn't stop chirping for me the only way it would be quiet was being held and I fell asleep with a chick tucked under my hand, very spoiled. I don't know how long it will live so I spend a lot of time with it daily and try to help it survive its so precious and a miracle that it hatched

and I have learned my lesson on tsc chicks. I bought them because I could pick each individual chick, and at first I didn't want to order 25 chicks.... But I've ended up with more than that lol. But I have different breeds, standard bantam and silkie, so far nobody else seems to be having this problem. I think they're getting one more shipment in before they stop carrying them in store, if they get anymore like beauty I'll volunteer to take them home. I called another tsc close by they said they hadn't got any chicks in with deformation, or they just didnt notice would be my guess, because that's where my 2 sultans came from. At least at my closest tsc they look at the chicks to see if there's any problems and don't just leave them in the tub and slip them in on someone else they separate them and ask if someone would take them home st no charge. There's no way I could've left this chick in the store, and if I hadn't bought my chicks there I wouldn't have gotten my sweet baby. My standard chicks came form the tsc beauty came from 6 of my silkies came from a different tsc and all but 7 of my bantams came from a separate one. They claim to have gotten no defective chicks. But id say if one is getting them they all could be. I guess the hatchery is using cross beak adults in there breeders, if beauty survives to be an adult, the chick will be strictly pet only, as with my sultan. I have 1 vaulted silkie that cant be bred either, its common in silkies but Id rather keep it as pet only

Well, TSC is doing the best they can with whatever the hatchery with issues sends them. I've gotten to know the manager of My TSC, for a few reasons. Anyway, I had seen on line that the main hatchery here that also supplies TSC (and where I ordered 15 from last season) Had MG in their flock. I mentioned that to her and then emailed the hatchery. Surprisingly, they were quite honest about it, explained and stated the corrective measures they took. I asked for assurance that they were MG free and they gave it. I relayed all that to the TSC manager. So, last Monday I got 7 bantams from TSC of that hatchery. They are vigorous and healthy. It is a really good idea to know the source of the chicks so that you can check reputations.
