chick farts is that normal ?

I read that every so often chickens poop a different looking little pile that comes from a different place inside them, called caeca, and the caecal poops look slimy and green/mustard colored. The cacea are where the undigested food is fermented. And from my chicks, it smells AWFUL! One source said they do this once a day, another source said every 8 to 10 poops. I think mine do it about once per hour, especially when I take them out of their brooder. This is probably TMI for most of us, but when I first saw the different consistency and color, I thought my chicks were sick, so I had to check it out.

Oh yes, our week old chicks are flatulent too. They stretch their necks out, flex their wings and pump out a turd and quite often you can hear a little flatus with it. Nasty.
