Chick in Bator

My chick is still in the bator, another egg has pipped so I know not to open it... The chick seems weird though, it's just laying there somewhat dry, is that okay, how long do they take to perk up, it's been 10 hours since it hatched?!?!

Yes...it's tiring work to hatch! Just DO NOT OPEN THE BATOR until they are ALL hatched! Otherwise, you'll compromise the others...

Yes it will be ok, they will sleep alot after hatching, (it's a tough job pecking through that shell).

Just wait until you see them running around in the brooder and suddenly topple forward and pass out to sleep.

Or when they flop flat out like was shown in some pics here. Then you'll worry they are dead.
