So, I am amazed I didn't notice this sooner with my 5th egg, but it has pipped in the middle of the egg instead of at the air sac which explained the short bleeding when I was clearing some 'dried' membrane away from the piphole, which was brown due to dried blood. The chick has air as it has made a hole (which I made a little bigger) but it is having issues hatching.
It is very vocal and lively, so I put it back in the incubator as I don't want to risk assisting too soon. While I was shining the torch through the air sac for a good look though, I did see the bump that was it's beak move upwards towards the air sac, so I might have clued it in on what to do hopefully, but am still very worried and would like some advice.
It pipped sometime last night and it is evening now.
