Once in awhile, there'll be a bad broody. From what I've heard, once a bad broody, always a bad broody. For future reference, if this hen ever goes broody again, it should be discouraged, and not allowed to have any chicks again. I don't know what causes a bad broody, unfortunately.They aren't going back with her until they ate much older. It definitely was the hen who hatched them, she suddenly started pecking them on the heads for some reason?
