Hello,
I was wondering if I could get some opinions on transitioning my chicks from brooder to coop! I live in central Pennsylvania where temperatures at night are mid-upper 50’s to mid 60’s. My chicks are 6 weeks tomorrow and still under a heat lamp. I cannot bring the heat lamp up anymore and the brooder is still around 70°. I would absolutely love to evict my girls by this weekend but I’m unsure of the low temps. I attached a screenshot of the weekends weather in hopes that someone could give me the O.K. My girls are fully feathered from what I can tell and are getting too big for my brooder! Thanks!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
They're past ready! Move 'em out! They'll love it.

Thank you!!! I’m new to chickens! O I just wanted to be sure! Our basement is in the 60’s and I didn’t want to shock them by just turning off the heat lamp. I’m glad they can go out and so will hubby!

I understand that, but I didn’t want to shock them as my basement is only 60° and dark. Thanks though
Turn the heat lamp off and leave them there for another day or two them move them out.

Hi and welcome to BYC. A gradual withdrawal of heat is likely best but may not be necessary in your case. Once in the coop, keep them confined there for 3-4 days (with food and water, obviously). The confinement will help recognise the coop as “home” so you will not have to do sheep-dog impressions every evening to get them back in the coop.
