I got a bunch of baby chicks on Sunday evening, and today, noticed that one of them isn't doing well. She appears to be healthy and to be eating and drinking everything just fine, but she isn't walking. She doesn't have spraddle leg or a sprained achilles. I've seen both of these conditions. When she wants to move, she "walks" on her hocks and so now they are a little bit bruised from walking on them. I've tried using some vet wrap on her legs to see if that would help anything, but it's not making her use her feet still. She just balances herself on her hocks. Any idea what I should do? Could it be a vitamim deficiency? I don't have any poultry vitamins and TSC and my local ag center are closed. I want to address this ASAP. I got these chicks at TSC and all of the others are doing well, so I don't think it's anything contagious.. Thanks in advance!
