Chick with 5 toes on one foot and 4 toes on the other.

My chick that hatched Thursday has 5 toes on one foot and 5 on the other. I got the eggs from a friend and one other chick from the same clutch has 5 toes but only this one has 5 toes and 4 on the other.why does it has a different number of toes?

Basic deformity... it happens in 5 toed breeds or crosses sometimes. One of the parents may have it or be hiding it in their genetics. Out of over 100 I have hatched, I ended up with one that a missing toe. Doesn't seem to effect their quality of life though. Just makes them not great for showing or breeding.

Sorry I ment thank you,I do not plan on breeding or showing him/her I got them for pets and laying.
