sack is still attached chick hatched yesterday. It absorbed quit a bit but still has some hanging on. runs around the brooder like nothing is wrong except it has not figured out how to spread its toes out and walks kinda funny. but it doesnt slow it down.
Will this resolve itself or do I need to do something about it? Chick doesnt seem to be in pain or anything. Just has the nasty looking thing hanging on.

When mine hatch like that I cut the small end of it and it hasn't affected any of mine yet. I had one hatch last night that had busted the yolk all over it in the egg I had to warm up a wash cloth with warm water and clean it up before I could put it in the brooder box because it had its feathers really stiff. Hope this helps some.

Yep, I clipped one off one of my chicks as well. You can leave it if the chick isn't tripping on it or anything, or else snip it off carefully if it's eating and such already.
