Chicken Babysits Broody's Nest

One my hens went broody and whenever she would leave the other hens would lay eggs in her nest don't know why but nothing bad ever came of it.

How cute! What a sweetheart I have several nests for my hens, but they always tend to fight over the corner nest While one sits on the nest, another will wait for her to lay her egg, and then she'll jump in; and so on and so on...

Yeah, my other hens do that too. (Sometimes, they just cuddle up to Ginny and lay their eggs there.)

Well... turns out that egg wasn't a double-yolker, just a really, really big egg.

So it's day 20 in incubation, it is presently -40° outside.... yeah
