Chicken block swap due June 15th

I have been working on an applique experiment of my own. I used a needle turn pattern. Rose Hughe's East-Piece Applique technique. and a glue stick to hold everything down. The background fabric I got because I thought( chicken eyes) when I saw it. I think it worked well.
I will keep this one for a center block for my quilt I think. I'ts too much work for a whole quilt. I think the others will be paper pieced.

The background fabric looks good in person on the screen it's way too busy. I will use it for eyes though. I was fun to give this a try.

I love it! It will make a beautiful center block for your quilt!

Happy that you are back and doing ok. Best of luck on the local job. My darling man travels, not as much as he used to but it gets tiring!

That's a nice applique. You know you have almost 4 months, right? If you did just one every week, you'd be done in three months.

Thank You all for your kind comments on my rooster applique experiment. I would go ahead and make more of them if I was not working on 4 quilts at the same time! some have deadlines so I get a little stressed.
