Chicken Breed Focus - Ameraucana

So I'm thinking these boys are not? Ameraucana and eBay got me yet again? I would love some help thanks...

Those may have had pure Ameraucana parents, but they are not Ameraucana. Their colors do not meet standard. Your blue splash is pretty though.

Thanks for starting this thread. We are newbies to the world of chicken ownership, and we have 15 chicks who are nearing 7 weeks of age. Two are Ameraucana, and they are the biggest girls in our flock. They are also two of my favorites, one a large reddish brown, and the other changing rapidly into what I am guessing will be a wheton (she has the coloring of a hawk or falcon). We purchased them at our local feed store, and the tank they were in said "Ameraucana/Easter Eggers". I wonder which we have. I can tell you that our Buff O's turned out to be Light Brahmas Oh well - we are happy regardless.

Chicken Nugget is out on the free range all day but she prefers to be inside. Her eggs are more greenish than blue. She doesn't like to be pet but she does like to sit on me and peck the lint off my clothes. She lays 5-6 eggs a week. She's kinda demanding but that's my own fault for spoiling her.

I'm starting to wonder if our blue-egg-laying ladies are Easter Eggers. Here's one of them. Her sister is more golden. Both have ear tufts.
