Hello Ya'll! :) I'm Anna, writer behind The Way of the Chicken (http://thewayofthechicken.com).
There, I post a lot about various chicken subjects. One of my favorite subjects is breeds.
Today, I'm asking all you chicken enthusiasts to give your opinion! :woot

Topic: What is your favorite Chicken breed and why is that particular breed your favorite?
Post answers here: http://thewayofthechicken.com/index.php/2017/11/29/chicken-breed-review/#more-5521

If your favorite breed is not already included on The Way of the Chicken, you could get it featured! Simply leave a review. :yesss:
Pictures!

If you include pictures of your fancy flock, you could even get your own chickens featured! However, until I update my contact form (for the inclusion of images), please only post images on this BYC thread. :) If you include any Images for your review, please leave your name so I can put your name on the photo (so the image is properly attributed as being yours) unless you would prefer to remain anonymous.

Thanks and have an awesome day! :jumpy

Thanks so much for your Review! :jumpy

Squeak sounds so cute!
Faverolles are definitely an interesting, curious breed.
Also, I have not yet featured them on my site yet. :D
Do you mind if I feature Squeak for the Faverolle post
(attributing the photo to the name "Sam C.")?

Just an FYI, Ayam Cemani are an extremely broody breed... that's one of the biggest reasons they don't lay as many eggs per year as many other breeds... and they make very, very good broody mamas...

That is interesting! I based a lot of my information off of what I researched from Wikipedia and 2 different Ayam Cemani breeders. However, I admit that there are a lot of misconceptions/contridictory-claims surrounding Ayam Cemanis circulating the web (It would'nt be surprised if some made their way to wiki) so I am intrigued by your information on the breed. Do you have some or know someone who does?

Wikipedia is not a credible source of information, j/s...

Yep, extremely broody. My avatar is a picture of one of my hens with chicks she hatched.

I have one that actually just hatched more chicks, and I wish I could dig up my picture of two hens sharing the same nest from last year.

What else do you know about Ayam Cemanis?
Also, Do you mind if I use a couple of your photos in the post? The only pictures I found online where not very good :hmm ... but yours and Pyxis are awesome! :)
Both of your ACs are quite stunning... :woot
