Chicken climbing fence

One of our chickens just learned to climb the 4-foot (or more) fence. Is there any way to stop it from doing that without clipping its wings?

If they are climbing then clipping wings won't help. Mine can jump about 3 + feet without flight.

There are a lot of thread discussions on fencing, search the forums and there are a lot of suggestions for your problem. All indicate that 4 feet is just not high enough for full size chickens. Someone in a discussion on BYC reported one chicken who could climb a 7 foot fence!

Guess the best answers will come with more description of your fence or add a photo of part of the fence….can you increase the height?….can you add something to the fence that cannot be climbed?
