Chicken got egg bound!! Can someone please help me understand?

What does calcium do to help egg bounded chickens?

Short term. calcium, a big shot of it, will trigger strong contractions to help the hen squirt out the egg remains. Longer term, calcium will help reset and regulate her ovary so it will only release one yolk per 25 hour egg cycle. It will also quickly re-kit her shell gland to build whole shells.

You won't need to give it to her from now on, just until her egg laying returns to normal.

Will she be okay if I get it on Friday when the check goes in because her bill was more than 200$ and the medicine itself was more than 100$

To get enough calcium into her to do any good, you should give her two of those tablets per day.

This is entirely your decision. You don't have to do anything at all. She's your chicken.
