Chicken Injured by Predator (Graphic Images)

I tried to wipe it some, but it was right next to a very raw piece of skin. Once I got back from the store with the ointment I loaded the wound down and let him be. I had stressed the poor guy out enough clipping his feathers and everything else lol.

Hopefully tommorrow it looks better. I also upped his antibiotic a little bit in his gallon of water.

When mine were healing up, there was a little bit of yellow like that, which concerned me, but I just kept applying triple antibiotic, and kept an eye on it. It wasn't infection. I've seen pictures of that on other threads too, where a wound was involved, and eventually the wounds healed up fine, and it was not infection. Just keep doing what you're doing, and it should be fine.

You can use a piece of gauze or paper towel wet with the saline, and just dab it on the wound for a minute and remove it. That way you are not wiping or damaging anything. Then apply the ointment. That wound looks pretty good, and you will be amazed how well that heals in a few weeks.
