Just looked online and found it. Its not in my area. But what a great idea. I bet those folks are making BANK. Especially since only HALF the rental fee goes towards the coop...and if you dont want to buy them...THEY get to keep them. Genius. Pure genius.

Started with 5 chickens March of 2018. With a 5x9 coop. All was good uuuummmm NOT. Currently have 31 with 27 meaty chicks arriving tomorrow. Now housed in a “barn” 9x16 I also am in the process of fencing in about a 1/2 acre area for them. Yep chicken math bit me in the you know what. I almost forgot to add my wife said “no chickens”. Ooopsss

But I am curious: are you talking about Rocks? Welsummers? I'm not kidding, when I saw your list of color combinations I started seeing stars again I just love chickens even though I don't call them pets (yet).

We are talking about, adorable, fluffy silkies! I have only white ones and am leaning towards quite a few roos. I will have to replace them, that's where the chicken math kicks in.
