So from everything I’m reading, if you catch gapeworms early enough, the symptoms match this chickens symptoms. I stopped worming her, and she’s shaking her head more, scratching her throat more, struggling to breathe more, and eating less.
I also read ivermectin and fenbendazole won’t treat adult gapeworms, and that I need something called flubenvet or something like that. So, I think I’m going to buy some and try it. She’s not coughing, not sneezing, has no other signs that it’s actually respiratory. Just seems more like there’s something in there.
Anyone know what actually kills adult gapeworms?
