Nice pictures! If you wouldn't mind giving lots of money, my pet chicken has both as sexed day olds, I just haven't gotten up the courage to spend so much on chicks.

I checked that out, thank you! I had no idea that MPC actually sexed their banties, so I'm pleasantly surprised. T.Roo crowed the other day for the first time, and my dad said that it was at least 6 or 7 strong, clear ones. Hooray for my boy!

It's so exiting, isn't it???? yeah, MPC does A LOT of bragging about being the only people to sex banties.... I just can't swallow the shipping costs when the feed store has no shipping costs.

OK everyone..... disaster just struck.... I went to close up the chickens AND BUBBLES HAD BLOOD ALL OVER HIS HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! from what I can see the injury is fairly minor, (probably to his comb) but bloody, so I put him in the sick bay and will regroup in the morning. If it is Pebbles who did it then someone's gonna be in BIG trouble as NO ONE messes with Bubbles!!!!! I couldn't see any blood on Pebble's beak so that gives him a little leeway on wether it was him or not. I'll be posting updates if I can find the culprit- either by seeing them fight or finding a nail or something.

Please keep us posted on Bubbles! I had something similar happen to Angel, my "dirty" White Rock, when she was just a chick. Believe me, what a shock to come home and discover a bloody mess within the general vicinity of her comb. To this day, I still have no clue what occurred, but it hasn't happened again.

Thanks Alex, i just went out and checked, and the blood has dried up and he's acting normal again. Him and Pebbles are not fighting at all so I guess it was an accident.... I took some pictures but they are rather gross.
