Australorps and Buff Orpingtons...you can not go wrong! I have both and they are awesome. I have the NN Turken roo from Nat (Sonew) and he is a hoot, but I don't want to breed him. I'm afraid I wouldn't find anyone who'd want the chicks!

I believe so

It's so relieving to know that I'm not the only one who dislikes football. I keep telling my brother and dad (who LOVE football) that it's just a bunch of sweaty guys in padding jumping on each other for a brown lump with stitches, but they never listen. The Super Bowl is probably the best one, though, because I can steal chips n' dip and watch the funny commercials.

I just saw on FB it is the Steelers, but I have no idea who the other team is. Jumping up and down screaming at the TV doesn't appeal to me. And I'll pass at all the boob commercials.

I don't have a TV, but I sure avoid going into restaurants or even some stores during the bowl thingy. Last year even the grocery store had the game BLASTING over the paging system! They ignore the customers and EVERYBODY is screaming! They even do this when our state's team is not playing!

Bah on sports, let's talk about chickens! My bathroom is chirping, I put the incubator in there, because I can't leave well enough alone.

I am trying to stay busy so I leave them alone! I need to go eat something, then maybe go clean the brooder out.

Does anybody have any advice for goose brooding/ rearing? Both Daisychick and I are about to become geese parents lol.

I was kind of hoping they could share a brooder with chicks for the first week or is that a bad idea?

I should go research it more, but I find SO many different opinions and then I get distracted! There is way too much stuff on the internet!

Sorry to hog this post thread by typing so much, but if I am typing, I am not bothering the incubator!

I don't know a darn thing about geese. I'm not sure if you can put them with chicks. You and Chandra are lucky to share an order! I have yet to find anyone willing to go in on one....near me anyway.
