Me too!

I wish this site had a "BLOCK" function, like ebay or Facebook! One pressed on either side, it prevents them from seeing you and you seeing them, it is as if they cease to exist and they cannot bid!

By and large, I like BYC-ers, even the crusty, grumpy ones. But there are 1 or 2 exceptions that just rub me wrong lol

I hope they don't muck up this Auction for you Muggs!

Yes, but DW has a limit out on how many she'll allow me to keep, and especially does not want me getting chickens to butcher. At one time I had so many and yes, I had a number, but I couldn't keep track of them. Turns out I actually had more than I thought I did when I finally did get an accurate count. Trouble is only one of three roosters has a name, if I started naming my hens, DW would probably think I was naming them for some of my past sweethearts and smack me

Bleh! I am covered in chicken blood. Is that true addiction?

No, the hen is fine. I haven't suddenly crossed over to the meat eater side. I got home to see blood all over my run and coop.. Not 'shining' level, but enough to make me think OH NO!?? Did someone prolapse? Wha happen? I stare at them and finally see a hen with a broken toenail on one foot. I chase the silly girl all over the place skinning my knee in the process (my leghorns will let me pick them up but my RIR will not)... Finally get the girl, drag her through the house dripping blood, find my styptic powder .. hmmm. where is it? Use flour, then find styptic.. have to recatch hen.. Yikes! She's stopped bleeding for now, so let's hope it stays that way. Clothes are all soaking in cold water. Adventures in chicken keeping!!

Oh and one of my leghorns put out a giganto egg.. it's the hugest one I've had yet. Will have to take pics of this one!!
