Chickens eye glued shut with blood.

Ok so I have this 8 or 9 week old brahma and she was attacked by my 11 week old rooster pretty bad. Her head has been pecked to the scalp and was bleeding a good amount. My main concern is her eyes seem ok but the blood seemed to get on the eyes and seems to manage to glue them shut. I have given her rest for about 4 or 5 days now and not once has she opened her eyes. I am concerned and wondering is there a way I could get her eyes opened without pain?

Try a warm saline solution rinse. Wetting it/soak until soft enough to take a moist q-tip and work the away foreign material and bacteria to reduce the chance of infection. When you can get the eye open and see if her eyes are intact then you can put in a antibacterial eye drop that sell at most pet stores or farm supplies.

We take a cottonball that's soaked with water and gently wipe the blood away until they can open the eye.
