Interesting! So in a SHTF situation, bobcat before coyote. And then, in the worst case scenario, the pet chickens.You are totally right on the coyote taste. I will try though. The bobcat is easily describable.
Bobcat tastes like well flavored lean pork. I will process and eat every one that we catch too close to the coops. They are great to eat.
Coyote tastes unlike any other meat I have ever tried. It is difficult to quantify. Its not bad by any means and if one grew up eating it it would probably even be good. But it has a different flavor that is hard to shake if you are an adult. I can not come up with any descriptors of the noticably different flavor. I will only eat coyote again if I need to.
