You're talking about hatching the Am's? Yes, easier than the BCM's but I still run them dry... they hatch best that way... but lots less DIS than the BCM's...
That's what I was hoping. My last BCM hatch went pretty good, but I was having a lot more DIS before that. I think these AMs are going to be huge here, so I need some good hatch rates

Exactly! I can't wait to practice packing! I'm going to be a nut!

I know me too!!!! I am super excited that by spring time I will be able to send eggs to everyone!!! ;)

Thanks, frmboy... I've received many boxes of eggs, so I just try to send them as I would like to receive them... :)

I like this ship a thon thing. I live receiving eggs and I can't wait to send eggs out!!!!

I'm still waiting on those free-loading lavenders to give me some eggs. Good grief, they are almost 26 weeks old! The comets spoiled me with eggs at 17 weeks, I guess. I did learn for sure though, that my 2 silkies are female. After moving the lavenders last weekend, I'm still getting the eggs from the silkies. I had been wondering if I might be getting a lavender egg, but nope, they are silkie eggs for sure.

My BCM were 26 weeks before they started, and the Ams are 23 right now. I Wound up with 23 pullets from my BCM hatches, so I'm good there, but I'm dying to start throwing Ams in the incubator :D

Are the Ams laying?
Not yet, but I'm checking the boxes every day.
Im doing coop chores today, and it looks like my d'Uccle have a case of leg mites :(
I've never had this before, but I've read about it, so guess I will be cleaning and disinfecting the coop, then trying to round these little speed demons up to treat their legs...

Eeeek, I've heard mites are a pain to get rid of. Good luck catching them, it might be easier to grab them off the roost at night.

Finally got the posts up for the new run fence section. Making the gate will have to wait until we get back from vacation though, so I'll put up temporary wire across that section for now.

That looks really nice :thumbsup
The roost would definitely be easier, but I'm off today so I may as well bite the bullet and do it. I feel bad, none of my birds have ever had a problem like this. Poor things

I'm glad I'm not the only one hoping to hatch before spring again. I just sold the last few chicks and my wife asked me how long it will be before we have chicks in the brooder in the garage again.

DE. I spread it in the nest boxes from time to time. May not fix it on the legs now, but it will kill all the crawlies in the nestbox and anywhere you spread it. We have wiped out whole ant colonies with it.

Your doing it right!
