Chicks Legs Frozen Solid

I'm glad it could help. He did love his hot tub and spa towel. Remember, that even if the feet look like they are healing, damage from freezing can show up later, as it did for Scout. I'm not saying that to discourage you - anyone who knows Scout and/or his story can tell you that his life was full and active when he grew up despite his stumpy feet. I just don't want you to be shocked if it happens and blame yourself if you start thinking you should have done more....you're dealing with frozen feet and there's only so much you CAN do.
Yes, that's understandable. I myself have no issues with stumpy feet, I love my two unique, slightly deformed chickens I have already.

Yes, nothing to do with his feet. Sadly we had to cull him. Out of the blue one day he attacked my hand and really left some vicious marks. Ordinarily I would have chalked it up to a fluke and just watched him for a repeat, then dealt with him if it happened again. But with our little granddaughter, who was only 4 at the time, being in a wheelchair and having autism, a second chance for Scout was not an option. I was Kendra’s full time day care provider as well as her gramma, and my heart and responsibility were hers, not his. It was one of the hardest “right thing to do” things I have ever done. Thanks.

I read Scouts full story. So sweet. What happened to Scout in the end? Something unrelated to his feet, I assume? He was so beautiful despite his deformed feet!
The end of Scout came one day after he grew to be a fine rooster, and he and Blooie had a run-in. Lets' just say there wasn't room for the both of them in that tiny Wyoming town.

Hey guys, update here :)
They all seem well, especially Tip (black, small, naked-head chick). I removed the splint on Kapcha, and when I did, the smell was sorta gross, but no infection, and the bone seemed well healed. I covered it with vetwrap and tape (tape to secure it). You can see the bandage here. Mostly to protect that cut.
Feet looked better after a soak, we will keep updating as the chicks improve. When soaking, boy, I've never seen a chicken look more like a duck.:lau
