chicks needed - alabama

I was going to place an order for some chicks but hubby is losing his job so I've decided to wait. The problem is that my neighbor's children wanted some too, with my order. I'm looking for 4 or 5 chicks that I can get for them to raise so they will not be so dissappointed. Type doesn't matter... do prefer pullets if possible.

Our local Feed Mills, Feed Stores are selling chicks right now.

Do you have one close to you that could buy some from? They normally carry the common breeds like Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Easter Eggers, ect.

I have some Jersey Giants, and Barred Cochin Bantams pullets, I am just not sure how to ship birds that are older than 1 day. If you have any ideas to keeping them safe let me know.

Where in Alabama are you? I have eggs in the bater due to hatch around 2-20. I am in W Tn, about 50 miles North of Corinth,Ms.
