Welcome to BYC!
While a week is not always a big deal, in certain circumstances it can make a big difference -- what breed(s) are the chicks? Are they large fowl or bantam - if both are the bantams the older or younger of the two groups? What is the total floor space of the brooder, how many feed/water stations are present and how many chicks total are involved? Are your chicks newly hatched and one week old or one week old and two weeks old?

Right now in my brooder I have 3 chicks that are 2 weeks old, 2 chicks that are 1 week old, and 10 chicks that are 3 days old. They all seem to be getting along just fine!
