Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

(Are you playing the cook or am I?)

Dimitri let Alexis lead him over to the cook. He put on his best smile and tried to look nonthreatening.
(can you?)

Smiling as sweetly as possible, Alexis leaned her elbows on the counter and waited for the man to turn around. "Lovely evening, isn't it?" She said to get his attention.

"No?!" Ryker asked darkly. He then straightened as he tried a different tactic. "Did I fail to mention who is accompanying my teams that are following your back trail? Have no illusions, where technology fails to follow, Dyrus and Vasper can. You know well their abilities of tracking and subsequent bloodlust when the find their prey. I double up on everything Anuerin. I leave nothing to chance." Ryker replied with a calmness that showed the truth of his statement. "Perhaps I'll let them put the girls out of their misery when they do find them. I do have to make an example of someone. And since love has made you weak, perhaps the absence of it will make you strong again. You are not the martyr of this scenario, Anuerin. Only a cautionary tale that will resonate throughout Lord Laboratories for the rest of your days. Now come, and I may rethink their limited future. It's completely up to you. Now how do you feel about their outcome fully based upon your decisions? You're not so smug now, are you?" Ryker said with a measure of satisfaction at out thinking his clever son.

"My answer is still no!" Aneurin immediately answered before there was time to regret his words. It was dangerous either way, but he had to remind himself that Ryker was a liar, and that if Amaryllis was still with him he would cause her to endure unfathomable pain all in the name of progress.

( Sure! :) )

Adam turned around at the unfamiliar voice. He frowned slightly and stated the obvious, "You're not supposed to be back in the kitchen. It's against the rules."

Dimitri looked around nervously but held his tongue.

Ryker smiled darkly once again. "Oh, you're more like me then you'd care to acknowledge. You're everything I am, minus the weakness of your mother." Ryker replied before giving Anuerin a shove in the direction of the vehicle. "Had you not been unplanned, I would have chosen better breeding stock." He added angrily.

Eyes wide, Alexis looked around the kitchen. "Back here?" She asked innocently as she made a little circular motion with her finger.

Adam nodded as he tossed the hand towel up over his shoulder and leaned onto the counter in a similar fashion as Alexis. " Yeah, back here. You see, there's too many pointy objects that can be used to kill and dismember the guards. Besides, this is where the magic happens and amagician never reveals his tricks. " He said confidintly.

Dimitri glanced across the room, that way when he rolled his eyes, it wasn't observed.

Alexis looked around the kitchen, searching for what pointy objects Adam spoke of. "Everything looks nicely put away and inaccessible to me," she observed aloud. She then leaned forward a bit on the counter and rested her chin on her clasped hands. "But really, what does that matter. For, believe it or not, I'm not here to dismember you. I've come with a request," she said mischievously.

Razeth regretted his words as soon as evoked Laurel's response. "I'm sorry." He murmured and embraced her within the safety of his arms. " Abject fear was not my intent." He soothed softly.
~~~
(Ummm, how about in the training facility? She could let him have it. ;) )
Leverett was practicing his fencing in the training facility. His imaginary target was getting all he had to offer.
Laurel wrapped her arms around Razeth's waist, closing her eyes to enjoy the comfort of his embrace even more. "I know," she answered softly, "it's just, everything reminds me of him."
~
Arayln entered the training room wearing short shorts and a white tank top to which excentuated her deep tan, and immediately targeted Leverett. "I need a way to get rid of my anger and your the best man for the job." She smirked smugly.
Haley concern was growing but was soon eased as she saw a couple walking of a building. She gave Amaryllis an indication to wait and then she hurried across the street to talk to them.
"Hi," she said a bit shyly, not having been around civilians—with the exception of the hunter—for so many years. "My friend is really sick and we can't seem to find any signs of life here, except for you two of course," she explained, worry obvious on her face.
The man looked to the woman, who nodded slightly, before he replied. "There's a hotel at the end of the street," he told her before quickly hurrying his lady along. Haley thanked them and returned to Amaryllis. "Hotel is this way. Can you make it?" She asked.
Amaryllis was suddenly overcome with sadness as she realized how much she missed while locked away in a cell these last six years. When Haley returned her attention was awakened from her thoughts. "Yes, I think I can." She shyly replied in honesty.
