Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Ryker smiled darkly once again. "Oh, you're more like me then you'd care to acknowledge. You're everything I am, minus the weakness of your mother." Ryker replied before giving Anuerin a shove in the direction of the vehicle. "Had you not been unplanned, I would have chosen better breeding stock." He added angrily.

Aneurin broke his motionless stance to leap behind Ryker, grabbing his neck in his arm and squeezing to ensure the difficulty of Ryker's ability to breath. "My mother loved you, but you cared only about what she could do for you; just like Amaryllis. Thats why as long as there is breath in my lungs I will never let you hurt her." He sneared angrily, as he leaned closer to Ryker's ear.

Amaryllis was suddenly overcome with sadness as she realized how much she missed while locked away in a cell these last six years. When Haley returned her attention was awakened from her thoughts. "Yes, I think I can." She shyly replied in honesty.
Haley put her arm around her friend's waist to help her along as the neared their destination. The automatic double doors opened for them at the hotel and she led her towards the nearest chair before going to the desk. The lobby was nearly empty, she noticed, like the rest of the small town.

Alexis looked around the kitchen, searching for what pointy objects Adam spoke of. "Everything looks nicely put away and inaccessible to me," she observed aloud. She then leaned forward a bit on the counter and rested her chin on her clasped hands. "But really, what does that matter. For, believe it or not, I'm not here to dismember you. I've come with a request," she said mischievously.

"Oh? How fortunate for me. I'm quite attached to my appendages." Adam said with a sly chuckle. He then smiled pleasantly and asked, "A request, huh? What could that be?"

Dimitri found the rule of no pointed objects utterly ridiculous. Perhaps he shouldn't point out that they could shift into animals from most people's nightmare. He thought humorously.

Laurel wrapped her arms around Razeth's waist, closing her eyes to enjoy the comfort of his embrace even more. "I know," she answered softly, "it's just, everything reminds me of him."
~
Arayln entered the training room wearing short shorts and a white tank top to which excentuated her deep tan, and immediately targeted Leverett. "I need a way to get rid of my anger and your the best man for the job." She smirked smugly.

"In time, his hold upon your life will lessen with every day you're away from his brutal torment. " Razeth murmured reassuringly to Laurel.
~~~
Leverett gave her a cursory glance. "Mon Petit, you look more apt to go to the beach then spar with me. Barbie called...she wants her outfit back." He said with self-satisfied humor as he gave her his back to put the fencing sword away.
"Well, who isn't?" Alexis chuckled at his reply. She then cocked her head slightly and locked eye contact with the chef before explaining. "Here's the gist of it: Tiger here"--she nodded towards Dimitri--"bet that I couldn't get one of you fabulous chefs to add an exquisite French dessert I like to call Creme Brûlée to our rather meager dessert list here. Of course, only cowards would refuse such a pathetic bet, so I took him up on the offer. And here I am. So, what do ya say? You up to the challenge?" She looked imploringly at him and waited, holding her breath and hoping he would believe her white lie.
(accidentally pushed a button and it submitted too soon :p But I edited it so here you go.)
Ryker reached up to clasp Anuerin's closest wrist before pile driving his left elbow into his son's rib cage. Once the blow landed, he ducked under Anuerin's hold upon his neck while bringing his son's captured wrist around to the small of his back and shoved him against a nearby tree trunk. "Nice try, but I've been around awhile boy! But for the record, I told your mother I could never love her that way. My research was everything to me. Part of why I left. I paid her handsomely for her inconvenience. But she chose to keep you." He snarled in Anuerin's ear.
:)hide Don't hate me. He's evil. )
Adam's eyes followed her gesture towards the large male. His eyes flared at the sight of Dimitri's big smile, for he'd escaped his notice until just now. But Adam quickly focused back upon what Alexis was saying. When she'd finished her explanation, he straightened from the counter and brought a hand up to grasp his chin in a pose of exaggerated thought. He roamed in a small circle as he did so. "Let me see if I have this straight. If I cave into your offer, you win the bet and if I don't, tiger here wins, right? But there seems to be an I justice here. Tiger here is looks meaner than you, what's to keep me off the menu? And if he doesn't eat me, why I'm I the only one who's left out? What do I get for my efforts? " He asked curiously, as he settled aginst the counter behind him and crossed his arm in front of his chest. He then looked between them both as he patiently waited for a reply.
Dimitri looked to Alexis blankly as his mind tried to think of a selection of possibilities. "Um, Dishes! We could wash the dishes in exchange." He blurted out.
"Ah, but we have a machine for that." Adam stated simply.
Alexis hadn't thought that far. She looked to Dimitri but when he gave his idea, she quickly realized it was up to her. "Is letting you live not good enough? You seriously need more?" She joked. She scrunched up her nose in thought as she went over what they could do for the guy, besides letting him live, since apparently he was greedy like the rest of the world and wanted more. It had to be something that wouldn't affect her and Dimitri much, but it had to be worth it for Adam's time.
"Are you low on help in here? You may have a dishwasher but surely there are other things that have to be done manually," she finally said.
Amaryllis smiled gratefully to Haley for her aid. She entered the hotel, and was greeted by warmth from the cool night air. Wearily she took seat in the lobby while waiting the return of her friend.
