Chinese New Year Hatch/February 3 2011

SIL just called.

He doesn't know what's going on yet but they did something wrong.

She's awake, but now they're talking about something happening to her lungs!

I'm trying to keep busy, so I don't lose it waiting to hear.

I just used most of next month rent to pay to get my car fixed, but it won't be ready till 6:00 tomorrow, so I can't get to her.

I'm going to chicken vegetate until I know something more. OK temps and humidity are holding.

Can't think of what else I need to do.

I need to do something though.

Maybe thsi will help you think about something else. I set these today to participate . Soory to hear about your turn of bad luck

I added 2 more when I came home. I had 3 more that were frozen and cracked, so pitched them.

Hello all, I wanted to ask some dumb Qs about incubating ducks...I am used to chickens.
I have heard/read that ducks/waterfowl require up to 87% at lockdown and 70% for the rest, and I have heard that they are the same as chickens.
What I want to do is hear it directly from someone who hatches duckles....they have been at about 45% and hatch date is the 28th..anyone can give me a pointer please PM me !
Thanks so much !!
Edited to add: Wolftracks I hoppe you and yours will be well !!

On another note, one of my bantam Barnevelders got bullied into a corner.. well, he got pushed behind the nest box, poor lil dude. He was walkin a bit funny, so he's in the house. He is NOT happy a bout it, and is noiiiiiiiiisy as all get out. That makes 4 chickens in here...ugh... I really need to build more cages in the basement
