Chocolate Gravy

2 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)

Dissolve cocoa powder and flour in cold milk. Pour in saucepan, add sugar. Cook over medium high heat until thickens, stirring constantly.

Serve warm over fresh biscuits.

This is what I made for breakfast this morning and I mentioned it on a thread this morning and no one had ever heard of it before. It's kinda like chocolate pudding, only sweeter.

Oh YUM!

My best friend's mom would make that for us on sleepovers when we were kids.

Thanks for posting it!

Thanks, Terrie!

I thought she was adding cocoa powder to pan drippings, not much gravy making in SoCal.

Saddina, I grew up in San Diego County.
That's where I had it. But my friend's mom was from Arkansas.
