Choking on Diesel Fumes *Update Page 6*

Truth is we live acres away from our nearest neighbors and we still had neighbor issues last year.

Anarchists who think we should get rid of all government overlook human nature. There will always be conflicts like this. Like Ladyride said you are past the winner stage. There can be no winners and you either learn to live with mr obnoxious or you start down a government involvement path that rarely leads anywhere good.

He sounds very immature.

He is very immature. It's two kids living there. Two kids that obviously never learned basic respect for others. Can't correct bad parenting at this stage of the game.

Oh well, you all are probably right. No peace in paradise. Guess i need to just keep buying those lottery tickets and hope for a big winner.

I have to advise you though. I really hate haveing neighbors.. Might send those guineas over to his property to mess around with his truck and evil cats.

It would be an F250 , as far as I know they have never made an F150 with a diesel engine. I have a 91 F350 and when it is cooler in the mornings, I let my truck idle for 5-10 minutes, first off, this does help the glow plugs, yes, they warm up quickly, but the warmer they are the less wear on them, I do not appreciate replacing $80 worth of Glow Plugs every year. Secondly, I too have asthma, pretty bad, my diesel has never bothered me at all, I too love the smell of it, could be because my dad drove Semis and heavy equipment my entire life.
Third, if it is on his property, really not much you can do about it.

I would do the best you can to get along.

Have any idea of the truck's weight? If it is 10,000 pounds or more, by law, max time for idling is 5 minutes, and it has to be 100 feet or more from homes. This is CA law.

An F250 can have a GVWR of 10,000 which is the maximum GVWR before commercial vehicle regulations apply. Typically the GVWR of pickups is less than 10,000 but the larger pickups (F350, F4500) can have a commercial vehicle GVWR (10,001 and larger).

i love you, Redhen. Those are my evil thoughts, also. A girl can dream, can't she? But i would never in a million years do something illegal or to intentionally harm someone or their property. i think i can find a legal way to stop or mitigate the damage.

Lazy J Farms Feed & Hay - i appreciate your information. Perhaps i can get the weight from Carfax or some other entity.

lockedhearts - i totally appreciate what you are saying. The problem here is that i do have asthma and a compromised immune system. Is that his fault? - absolutely not. And if he truly needs to warm his truck up for 10 minutes, fine. But he admitted this morning he was idling extensively and revving super high just to get even. So it's not a needful thing, it is a hurtful thing. That makes him a very bad person.

But, tonight it occurred to me that perhaps we could put up a solid fence between our driveways. Maybe plant some trailing pleasant smelling vine on top. With a solid fence there, the fumes might just bounce back to his property.
