I think when you make straight custard that it calls for putting it in a water bath to bake it (I dont know why) but Ive never done it with the bread pudding. I like it to get crunchy on top. mmmmm
halo - a picture is worth a thousand words. Was reading the tread and thinking about making this then after seeing your picture - I need to go to the grocery and make this real soon since we have homemade French Vanilla ice cream that would probably be a great addition on the side.
