Cinnamon bread pudding

I think when you make straight custard that it calls for putting it in a water bath to bake it (I dont know why) but Ive never done it with the bread pudding. I like it to get crunchy on top. mmmmm
 
A water bath will keep the pudding from cooking too quickly, so it stays creamier inside.
 
well then I think next time it will be no bath, I like crunchy on top and not so creamy in the middle. Thanks

halo - a picture is worth a thousand words. Was reading the tread and thinking about making this then after seeing your picture - I need to go to the grocery and make this real soon since we have homemade French Vanilla ice cream that would probably be a great addition on the side.

I can't decide if I like it better warm or cold. Either way, its very yummy. Makes a wonderful breakfast, like french toast, I guess.

Katy, I dont know how you missed this one. Probably because you've been elbow deep in making those yummy lighter than air rolls of yours.

Oh wait, didnt you tell me your poor hubby has been STARVING because you haven't made him any rolls lately?? Shameful.
